The Independence Palace also known as Reunification Palace (Vietnamese: Dinh Thống Nhất). It was built on the site of the former Norodom Palace, is a landmark in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Designed by architect Ngo Viet Thu, it was the home and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. It was a site of the end of the Vietnam War during the Fall of Saigon on April 30th, 1975, when a North Vietnamese Army tank crashed through the gates.

Its address is 135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Hence, to go to the palace quickly, you should go by motorbike or take a taxi. In addition, you can take a bus to the centre station, then walk about 15 to 20 minutes to the Independence Palace.

Its cost is 30, 000 VND per turn (about US$ 1.30). Yet if your team is about 20 members, you all decrease in one thirdly of the ticket cost.
3. Opening hours
The monument of the Independent Palace, Vietnam opens and sell tickets daily for tourists (consists of off days, the festivals and New Year)
Daily from 8:00 to 11:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. You need about 1 to 2 hours to visit its architecture, take images and explore the history related to the legendary place.

5. The Independence Palace, Vietnam dress code
The independence palace is quite simple. Namely, your costume should be clean-lembed and polite. The dangerous objects such as pocketknives are not allowed. Small backpacks are permitted inside, but larger luggage must be left at security. Specially, don’t walk on the grass or touch displays around the independence palace.
